Dorothy I. Height Elementary School is a Title I, citywide school in the Petworth section of Washington, DC. Currently, we are housed in the Sharpe Health swing space adjacent to our historic Dorothy I. Height Elementary School campus on Allison Street. Our new building will open in SY 2024-2025 and will boast 93,000 square feet of modernized learning space for grades PK3-5. We serve students in prekindergarten through fifth grade. At DHES, we celebrate our community's diversity and foster an appreciation for all cultures and perspectives in a nurturing environment.
