Sela is diverse-by-design, Hebrew-language immersion elementary and pre-school in Ward 4. We offer our students an academically rigorous, dual-language program in English and Hebrew for grades PreK3 through 5. Global citizenship is a main instructional focus. It includes the development of student skills in communication (including learning Hebrew), collaboration, and critical thinking. We develop empathy in students by learning in a diverse school community.

• Sela is diverse by design, meaning we bring together students from many backgrounds to learn together. Our school's inclusiveness and sense of community develop student's teamwork, empathy, cross-cultural understanding and critical thinking skills.
• Hebrew immersion which highlight language, culture, and diversity. We teach Hebrew using the proficiency approach, which exposes students to the language through experiences with objects and people and learning how to name them and speak about them.
• Small classes and a safe, secure, nurturing environment.
