Stevens Early Learning Center is a new DCPS school opening in August 2020. Stevens is DCPS' first standalone Early Learning Center with DCPS PK3 and PK4 and a 0-3 program offered in partnership with a Community Based Organization. Through this partnership, Stevens will offers a unique opportunity to educate our earliest learners in a model devoted specifically to zero-to-five-year-olds. DCPS is excited to reopen the historic Thaddeus Stevens building with a full modernization.
Stevens ELC has an additional lottery preference for families that meet the District's at-risk definition. Learn more HERE (Stevens Priority Seat).
• Stevens will be a citywide school with no boundary, welcoming applicants from across the District.
• A preference for families that qualify as at-risk and dedicated self-contained special education classrooms to build a socioeconomic- and ability-diverse community
• Newly modernized facility with LEED Gold certification dedicated to sustainability and preserving the historic building.
Students do not take PARCC before grade 3.
This school has multiple lottery options, please visit the historic waitlist page HERE for detailed data.
