Stevens Early Learning Center is DCPS' first standalone Early Learning Center with DCPS PK3 and PK4 and a 0-3 program offered in partnership with a Community Based Organization. Through this partnership, Stevens offers a unique opportunity to educate our earliest learners in a model devoted specifically to zero-to-five-year-olds. DCPS is excited to open the historic Thaddeus Stevens building with a full modernization.
• Stevens is a citywide school with no boundary, welcoming applicants from across the District.
• A preference for families that qualify as at-risk and dedicated self-contained special education classrooms to build a socioeconomic- and ability-diverse community
• Newly modernized facility with LEED Gold certification dedicated to sustainability and preserving the historic building.
